7:00 AM

My day begins with a peaceful morning walk at the nearby nature reserve, accompanied by our dogs, Lottie and Lucy. It’s a calming way to start the day and clear my mind before diving into work. By 8:00 AM, I’m back home, enjoying a hearty breakfast and preparing for the tasks ahead.

8:30 AM

Once I sit down at my desk, I begin by checking emails that may have come in overnight. This is an essential part of my morning routine, as it allows me to catch up on any updates or urgent client communications that need immediate attention.

9:00 AM

After reviewing my inbox, I go over my calendar to plan out my day. As a Client Account Manager, each day can vary, so organisation is key. My schedule often includes new client introductions, regular check-ins with existing clients, and internal meetings to stay aligned with my colleagues at Minerva. Preparation is vital to ensure these discussions are effective and meaningful.

10:00 AM – 12:30 PM The morning is typically dedicated to updating and reassuring our clients about the progress of their R&D claims. It’s a rewarding part of my job to keep clients informed and ensure they feel confident in our work. One of my main responsibilities is managing my team’s diaries and coordinating client meetings, making sure our clients are always connected with the right experts at Minerva. Sharing our team’s expertise with clients is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my role—it’s great knowing they’re in such capable hands.

1:00 PM

Lunchtime! After a busy morning, I take the opportunity to refuel and, if time permits, take a short walk to recharge. It's a small habit, but it helps me reset and prepares me for the second half of the day.

1:30 PM – 4:30 PM

The afternoon typically involves a mix of tasks—reaching out to clients, working closely with accountants, and occasionally following up with HMRC on any claims that need extra attention. I also collaborate with my colleagues on more complex cases, which is always an opportunity to learn something new. This is my favourite part of the day; there’s always something fresh to discover when you work with a talented and experienced team.

Additionally, I may spend time preparing deliverable packages or filing notifications with HMRC. These tasks demand attention to detail, but they’re incredibly satisfying because they bring us one step closer to successfully completing a project for our clients.

5:00 PM

As the day winds down, I review what I’ve accomplished and plan ahead for the next day. Having a clear outline of objectives helps me stay organised and ready to jump back in the following morning, refreshed and prepared.

Why I love My Job

Being a Client Account Manager at Minerva is both dynamic and rewarding. The role offers plenty of variety, from interacting with clients to collaborating with an exceptional team of specialists. What I find most fulfilling is knowing that the work we do has a real impact on the businesses we support. It’s a truly collaborative and satisfying experience every day.
