We are thrilled to share our recent experience at the HEROS annual event, which took place on the 27th of September. As proud supporters of this remarkable charity, we had the privilege of attending the event and gaining insight into the incredible work they do.
At the heart of the event was a captivating tour of the stables, where we had the chance to meet the ex-racehorses benefiting from HEROS Charity's mission. The dedication of the staff and volunteers in caring for these magnificent animals was truly inspiring.
HEROS Charity, which stands for "Homing Ex-Racehorses Organisation Scheme," has a rich history dating back to the early 1990s when Grace Muir, with her extensive knowledge of racing and a network of connections, started rehoming racehorses. Over the years, with the support of her parents Ian and Agnes Muir, Grace and her team have successfully rehomed hundreds of ex-racehorses.
What sets HEROS Charity apart is its commitment to carefully matching horses with new careers and owners across various equestrian disciplines. They take pride in ensuring that these matches are successful and provide ongoing support for the horses and their new owners. This level of dedication is a testament to the organization's core values.
We are committed to supporting HEROS Charity in their journey to provide ex-racehorses with second chances and brighter futures. We encourage all our community members to consider how they too can contribute to this noble cause.
