Proud to support Launch Foods

At Minerva Innovation Group, we're passionate about making a positive impact through our work and within the communities around us. As part of that commitment, we're proud to make our annual donation to Launch Foods, which will enable the charity to provide a meal for 1,000 children this year. Launch Foods is a Glasgow charity dedicated to tackling child food poverty by ensuring children have access to free, hot, nutritious meals.

Imagine working in the food industry and seeing perfectly good food go to waste while, at the same time, children in your own city are going hungry.

Determined to do something about it, Craig Johnson founded Launch Foods in 2018. He wanted to tackle both issues in a way that removed the stigma often associated with food support. By using quality surplus food that would otherwise go to waste, Launch Foods encourages children to recognise themselves as part of the solution.

Today, Launch Foods takes its food trucks directly to primary schools across Glasgow, providing an average of 300 children with hot, nutritious meals each school day. Since its inception, the charity has served more than one million free meals to children and families across the city.

The charity's impact extends beyond its food trucks. Through Launch Coffee and Launch Catering, Launch Foods reinvests profits into its charitable work, helping to fund even more meals while creating employment opportunities within the local community. Craig's vision is not only to feed children today but also to inspire businesses to use their success to make a lasting difference in the communities they serve.

Launch Foods also welcomes volunteers, with Craig describing the experience as a joyful and rewarding way to make a real difference while spending time with the children and communities they support.
